SYDNEY ROYAL EASTER SHOW
March 2008
Ambleside Maestro continues to do exceptionally well in the show ring. He was runner-up to the Supreme.

Ambleside Vanilla Spice was awarded third place in her "Fawn Junior Class".

The Sydney Royal was an amazing show. Studs from all around Australia were represented. It felt like a National!

MORE SHOW SUCCESS ........
International Fleece Competition - Ambleside Gold Sovereign was awarded 2nd in his class - 30 months and over. There were approximately 500 fleeces entered!

CO-OWNERSHIP
Ambleside is very happy to now be co-owners with Kurrawa of the well-regarded JOLIMONT ACCOYO MIQUEL - a full Accoyo male.

CERTIFICATION
Ambleside Dream Catcher has now been certified and is already working. He is a full Accoyo male with excellent credentials.

AGISTMENT
Agistment numbers at Ambleside are constantly increasing.

CANBERRA SHOW SUCCESS
The Canberra Show was very successful for Ambleside and our Clients.

AMERICANS VISIT AMBLESIDE
American University students from Ohio and Pennsylvania visited Ambleside just recently to learn about alpaca breeding and husbandry management. A number of these students are to become vets. They were all extremely interested to learn and asked lots of questions and thoroughly enjoyed the "hands-on" aspect. This is the third year running that students from America have visited Ambleside. The group was also interested to hear about our merino sheep operation. Please enjoy the images of this visit!

AMBLESIDE SUCCESS IN NSW

Great news hot off the press! The 2 cria we sold last year to Lualto Alpacas in New South Wales have both had success at their first show last weekend.
Ambleside Chocolata received 1st in her class.
Ambleside Galaxy received 1st in his class. He then went on to receive Champion Intermediate Male and then received SUPREME for the day.
Needless to say, Lualto Alpacas are very pleased with the results from the show.

AAA NATIONAL SHOW 2007
Ambleside Alpacas was disappointed to withdraw from the AAA National Show 2007 because of family commitments.

NOTE: Ambleside Andean Maestro, Ambleside Ambition, Ambleside Silk Bobbins are all progeny of Ambleside Magestic (Stud Sire).

"BANDICOOT GUARDS"
DONATION to the NATIONAL TRUST PROPERTY-- MOORAMONG-- SKIPTON VIC.

In May Ambleside Alpacas donated 2 white Huacaya alpacas to the National trust property Mooramong, Skipton in the Western District of Victoria. Rascals and Penultimate have the job of helping to keep the foxes away from the Bandicoot population. Both boys had been herd guards the year before with Ambleside ewes.
