Twenty-two students from Ohio State University visited Ambleside to learn all about alpacas. The students are in Australia for 6 weeks as part of their University program and are hosted by Melbourne University. Most of these students are aiming to be vets. They were very intersted in all aspects of alpacas and enjoyed being able to handle the animals, especially the cria. Many questions were also asked about fibre, eg how do you tell good quality fibre from poor fibre, understanding histograms, what is comfort factor, etc. It was a pleasure to host such a great group of students!
